Believe it or not you can take Amtrak from NY to Norfolk, VA.
You will need a cab or uber to pick you up.

AUTOMOBILE

If you're driving to Norfolk we suggest using the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge tunnel rather than the HRBT if you'd like to avoid holiday weekend traffic. There is an EZ Pass toll on the mid town tunnel bridge that will take you into Norfolk.
